City of North Miami Resolution Urges President/DHS to Create a Haitian Family Reunification Parole Program (FRPP)
Attached is a strong October 11, 2011 City of North Miami Resolution urging the White House and DHS to promptly create a Haitian Family Reunification Parole Program to "mirror" the ongoing Cuban FRPP, save lives, and help Haiti recover by generating remittances. It notes broad national support and that over 30,000 beneficiaries have been paroled since 2009 under the Cuban program.
On Tuesday, Massachusetts' U.S. Senators and six U.S. Representatives wrote DHS Secretary Napolitano urging this relief, as did Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick on September 22, joining other support. For those letters and relevant press releases, see

May Administration officials hear these calls and promptly parole the most vulnerable and deserving so they don't have to wait four to eleven years in devastated Haiti despite already having been approved by DHS to join their families here.
