NBCA - Men on Missions - November 10 - 17, 2018
Haiti has been struck by several natural disasters in the past 6 plus years. In January 12, 2010, a 7.0 earthquake struck Haiti killing hundreds of thousands people. Six-plus years since the quake, some but little overall progress has been made to restore the lives of the Haitian people.
The most recent tragedy caused by rains from Tropical Storm Erika created a mudslide, on August 29, in the community of Carries. Twenty-nine (29) homes were destroyed with damage to others, leaving many people homeless. The immediate response was clean-up. The purpose of this trip is to assist with rebuilding this community and serve the Mission of Grace Haiti core ministries: Children of Grace Orphanage, Young Girls Home, Grace Community School, Grace Elderly Home, Grace Community Medical Clinic, Grace Community Church, and the Single Mothers Home.
Your presence and service will be a witness to Christ love and compassion for the people. You will also be making an eternal difference in the people’s lives that you will meet and minister to in Haiti.
Expect a closer relationship with the Lord, knowing ‘that which you have done for the least of these my brethren, you have done unto the Lord’ Matthew 25:40.
